Some of my favorite memories of playing have been participating in different camps and recitals. I love going and meeting new people who share the gift of music. Playing in recitals is also fun because I can showcase what I’ve been working on. Music has definitely influenced me. I wouldn’t give it up for anything.

Suzuki Piano with Ms Jenny has changed my whole view on piano lessons.

We have done traditional piano in the past with my older children.  One day a friend convinced me to do Suzuki and try this technique, having no clue what it entailed.

Though there is more involvement (of the parent),  the pay off outweighs any commitment on my part.  I also love the fact that I can bring in the other siblings to her lesson and Ms Jenny encourages them to learn.

Ms. Jenny has a great sense of humor which has only made our experience more enjoyable.  I recommend Suzuki piano to anyone serious about learning piano with great results fast.  It is worth the commitment for parent and student!

From my perspective, as a parent, playing the violin gave Chloe something she could feel special about.  I often thought she would give up, and I would be at my wits end in trying to get a young kid to practice, but she kept on.  I think it is important for kids to have at least one thing that they can be good at and playing an instrument stimulates many areas of the brain, so has benefits beyond just the obvious.

She loved Ms. Jennie, and had been to a number of violin teachers before.  Jennie was her first Suzuki teacher and it was a really good move.  Chloe and Ms. Jennie had a great relationship.  Jennie made learning fun but had high expectations.  She was the right teacher for Chloe, and the Suzuki method was effective for her in that it helped her to correct some things and gave her a foundation.

Myself, I think Ms. Jennie is great with children and with adults, funny, fun, smart, talented, and a good teacher.  Can’t say enough good stuff.

We are very touched by the kindness and interest that Jennifer shows the children.  She puts them at ease, and she always asks them about their other interests.  She is truly interested in not only developing fine musicians, but children with good hearts.

Taking violin lessons with Ms. Jenny is fun and interesting. I feel like I am smarter having learned how to play an instrument. She listens to my crazy ideas and encourages me. I love math and science and I’ve learned a lot about how music involves those areas.

Ms. Jenny is so nice and positive and she doesn’t compare my progress with how anyone else is doing. She lets students move at their own rate. She pushes me to practice (which I don’t like to do), and she really helps me to not feel frustrated. After a lesson with her I feel refreshed and ready to play more.”
