About Us
Suzuki Strings of St Petersburg was founded in 2002. The mission of our organization is to serve the Tampa Bay Community by sharing the gift of music and music education. Located near downtown St Petersburg, students have access to a wealth of cultural activities and opportunities to share and grow their talent.
A Suzuki program consists of:
- A private lesson with a caring, well-trained teacher
- An engaged parent that learns along with the child
- A group lesson class with children of varying levels and ages working together
- Children practicing reading skills and playing ensembles
- Families observing lessons of other children
- A teaching venue which encourages the interaction of students, teachers, and parents
- Focus on producing a beautiful sound or tone
- A teacher that provides an excellent performance model
- Children performing a common repertoire from memory with ease and enjoyment
